To whom it May Concern,

We purchased a 5,600 sq. ft. "fixer-upper" in July of 2011, with the intent to renovate the existing home and add some living space.  The final project was a $1.3 M renovation with a final living space of 9,000 sq. ft.  We had worked with Brett on a previous NEW BUILD project in 2009-10, which we decided NOT TO DO because of market conditions.  He had accompanied us to weekly architect meetings on that project for almost a year, and had proven his dedication.  The new project required more architect meetings for several months, which then led to us finally getting started on our home in March 2012.  I included all of this to convey Brett's interest in understanding as much as possible about the homeowners he'll be working with, the things that are important to them, and the project itself.

While no construction project is without issues, Brett did an excellent job of anticipating possible issues, as well as dealing with the few surprises.  Every Monday, and often several times throughout the week, he communicated to us what he was working on, and what selections he needed us to be working on.  Timelines were very clear, and he expected everyone to stay on task, especially his subcontractors.  Brett was at the worksite frequently, and was available to us virtually all the time, which is something that I believe is rare with construction projects.

Brett was very particular about the quality of workmanship of his subcontractors.  He would often come back after a crew had left for the evening and mark things with neon spray paint, so that they could see what needed to be corrected first thing the next day.  He handled the construction of our home as he would his own home.

Overall, we had an excellent experience with Brett, and now consider him a family friend.

Sincerely,
